The health information technology associate’s degree program at Kaplan College is not accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Kaplan College's health information technology program is in Candidacy Status, pending accreditation review by CAHIIM; however, accreditation is not guaranteed. Students must graduate from a CAHIIM-accredited associate’s degree program to be eligible to sit for the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification exam.
